Sustainability + Me │Break Up With Your Tumble Drier
Air dried clothes are not only wonderfully fresh but they don't add to your carbon foot print. It might be convenient to bung that load of washing into the tumble drier but at what cost?
According to the guardian, washing a load of laundry at 40c and then tumble dried creates 2.4kg co2 compared to 0.7kg co2 for a load washed at washed at 40c and line dried. Thats 17kg co2 created just from drying clothes in a machine. That's over triple the co2! This is one of the simplest eco swaps you could do, if you haven't already made the switch.
